From the restart the match seemed to swing and Okehampton found themselves defending their line and despite some strong upfront tackling Saracens managed to exploit an overlap to score in the corner. Okehampton bounced back and good field position allowed Stewart Down to put Okehampton in the lead by 3 points with a well taken penalty before half time. Okehampton began the second half much the same looking dangerous but not managing to convert pressure to points being held up over the line twice. Pressure on the Exeter scrum half saw Okehampton drive the ball over the line with Nicky Martin grounding the ball for the try. Again Okehampton let Saracens come straight back and score another try in the corner. Okehampton quickly restored the balance and began looking more threatening in attack with Sam Turner and Chris Searle making ground breaking runs. A lineout in the Saracens 22 was driven all the way to the line by the forwards, the scorer Paul Lawrence. At the close of the game the Okehampton backs showed what they could do with Matt Dennis capping a great game with a very well taken try. Stewart Down added the 2 points.
