BBC Countryfile presenter Matt Baker put his best foot forward on Dartmoor on Saturday on a ramble to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
Matt, who set off from Okehampton, was joined on the walk by viewers of the show from the region as well as children and young people supported by BBC Children in Need funded projects. He led the ramble with 19-year-old Georgia, who benefited from Children in Need funding to support her recovery after surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumour when she was 12.
He is pictured here with Emma Goodwin from Okehampton and friends, who organised their own Dartmoor ramble to raise money for Children in Need on Saturday. She was excited to happen upon Matt as they were strolling on Yes Tor on the north of the moor.
Countryfile presenters took part in a series of sponsored rambles over the weekend in five of the country’s most beautiful landscapes to raise money for BBC Children in Need, the BBC’s main fundraiser of the year.
Matt was wearing an official Children In Need Pudsey Ramble Hat which people can purchase to show their support for the charity.
