MARK Lees has done it again! Last Thursday he added the North Devon Wheelers 10 mile club championship to the 15 and 25 mile events he won earlier in the season.

In the hotly contested event the top five were all within one minute of Mark?s winning 22:22.

Second place went to Dave Lugger in 22:53 who was just one second ahead of third placed Adrian Street.

Forth place went to the unlucky Steve Sage who was held up by traffic soon after the start and triathlete Joe Beer rounded off the top five.

The junior race was won by rising star Pete Vincent in 23:44 who just pipped Ross MacDonald to the victory.

The Ladies? competition went to Harriet Whewell whose time of 29:38 was 30 seconds quicker than second placed Ginny Street.

Away from North Devon, Ray Retter has again shown his prowess in national competition. He travelled to Norfolk to participate in the 100-mile national championship.

His finishing time of 4:07:00 was fast enough to win him the 55-59 age group.

This is the second year in a row that he has won his age group at a national championship.

Returning closer to home Sage took part in Exeter Wheelers? 25-mile time trial on Sunday. His long season is begining to take its toll as his time of 59:29 was only good enough for seventh place, 3:29 behind winner Gary Fouracres.
