OKEHAMPTON Golf Club ladies? section on Monday week played their Par Competition.
Marcia Holwill came first, Amanda Clifford was second and Doris Jewell was third with a jewel of a round during which she scored a hole-in-one on the seventh and not content with that went on to score a 2 on the 15th.
Two days later 27 ladies went to Oake Manor, Taunton, for a fun day out. They played in teams of three and the winners were Kay King, Pat Kirby, and Trish Vick.

On Friday July 11 the County Scratch Team played Woodbury at home and won 4-3. Their next match is against Teign Valley at home on July 21.
The Sheelah Creasy Team played a match against Bigbury at home on Friday July 18 and recorded a wonderful 7-0 win. Their last match is away at Bigbury.
Amanda Clifford and Marcia Jones have played another match in the County Vets Interclub Knockout competition.
They played Honiton at Ilfracombe and won 5 up with 3 to play.
An excellent win which puts them into the final of this competition.
