POLICE are appealing for information after staff at Lewdown Post Office were threatened by a man with a knife on September 14. The man ran off in the direction of Chillaton when members of staff refused to hand over money. No-one was injured in the incident which occurred at about 4pm. House to house enquiries were made and neighbourhood watch co-ordinators were informed. Police are warning people not to approach this offender described as being in his early 20s, 5ft 10ins with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue boiler suit and baseball cap.
