RHS Garden Rosemoor's two dedicated rose gardens reach a climax of colour and scent in June when they will form a heady backdrop to their Rose Weekend on June 23 and 24, celebrating all that is delightful about the garden in summer.
'Rose Weekend is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the garden's wealth of early-summer perennials — the perfect time of year to visit!'
With more than 2,000 roses from 200 cultivars, Rosemoor has one of the largest collections of roses in the West Country.
On the Saturday, Mike Sokolowski, UK Sales Manager of David Austin Roses, will give an illustrated talk titled 'The Perfect Rose', covering how Austin's breed and produce new roses — to include tips on how to grow roses to best effect and what companion plants to grow with them.
Guided garden walks through the rose gardens will be available over the weekend with Phil Scott and Dave Squire from the Garden Horticultural team.
Throughout the weekend there will also be a rose-themed market in the marquee where there will be stalls selling crafts, foods and other products all associated with the quintessential garden flower.
