COMEDIAN Jennifer Saunders and former Miss England Charlotte Holmes, attended the BGC Charity Day at Canary Wharf in London on behalf of West Devon based children's charity CHICKS.
Jennifer and Charlotte were among many distinguished guests and celebrities who attended the event on the trading floors of the BGC Partner's office in London earlier this month.
Other guests included Prince Harry and Prince William, actor Sean Bean, singer Rod Stewart and many more who were on hand to help seal lucrative trading deals of which the commissions were donated to charity.
The event raised around $12-million globally, with CHICKS being one of the beneficiaries.
CHICKS, which is based in Brentor and provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children across the UK, was delighted to have been nominated.
Head of fundraising and communications Tim Bunting said: 'It was an incredible event and we were so grateful to have the support of CHICKS patron Jennifer Saunders and Charlotte Holmes who were both brilliant on the day. They not only helped raise the profile of CHICKS but also helped raise vital funds which will help us give many more children a much needed break from their difficult lives at home.'
