There was family fun and games for the younger ones on Saturday followed by a free barbecue and musical entertainment from local band, Fire Fly. Sunday started with a church service in a beautifully decorated church and involving many in the community, followed by a bring your own picnic and more opportunities for the youngsters to enjoy face painting and games and everyone to come together for a village photo.
Monday's 1950s style tea party drew many more than anticipated but there was more than enough tea and cake for everyone; and the village lantern lit procession to light the beacon finished the day.
A traditional street party with lots of flags and colourful stilt walkers completed celebrations on Tuesday. Special Jubilee mementoes for the children meant they all have something permanent to remember such a wonderful weekend, along with happy memories of a great four day party.
