Yelverton U13s v Plymouth st Mary's U13s
YELVERTON U13s lost by 7 wickets to Plympton St Mary U13s in an exciting game at Harewood House.
Yelverton were unable to field a full eleven, due to a last minute unavailability but did well to post 133 – 2 off their 18 overs, the main contributors being Jay Warner 41 n/o and James Douie 22 n/o with a partnership of 76 for the third wicket.
Earlier Ben Pearson (20) and Josh Halloran (13) had but on an opening partnership of 49.
Plympton's openers Hussey and Borbon put on 60 for the first wicket and with Brazier thumping a quick 25 at number four, they sealed the win in the final over finishing on 136 – 3.
Despite losing their main strike bowler and being a man down in the field, the Yelverton boys fielded very well, and gave a good account of themselves.
If they had been luckier with a couple of close run-out chances the result could have been different. Next week they take on Plymouth Peverell at Langton Park.
