TAVISTOCK triathlete Louise Amery was among the special guests at the Bikinmotion/Lower Chelston Flat Roofing Cycling Club?s first annual dinner.

More than 30 members attended the event, together with their partners and parents. Louise was one of three special guests from the club?s Great Britain under 17 National Squad, the other two being Dan Frost and Simon Gibbs, junior duathlon champion.

Louise was third junior at the recent Cyclo Cross National Championships held in the West Midlands.

All three received Bikinmotion CC leisure clothing as recognition of their tremendous dedication to training and competition.

Bikinmotion CC coach Mark Savery is seeing great results from the club?s riders he has coached over the last year. James Spragg, although still a junior, qualified to be one of five riders representing the South West Region at the Cyclo Cross National Team Finals, held in Bolton. He rode well against a strong field of senior riders to take 25th place. John Smedley, also a junior, rode to another victory in the latest round of the Soggy Bottom Mountain Bike series. He leads the sport category of the series overall and was a runaway winner on a muddy course covered with lots of ice. James Spragg, although having to miss this round while away at the Cyclo Cross Team Nationals, retains his third place in the series overall.
