A HORRABRIDGE woman has flown to Latin America to spend a month working with an international charity. Louise Davis, 21, is joint leader of a group of seven volunteers who will paint and decorate a Bible school in Cuba and help out at youth camps and summer schools in the area. Louise is working with Latin Link, an international community, serving churches throughout Latin America. The charity aims to live, teach and promote Christianity, to help meet identified needs, and develop short and long term mission initiatives. Louise needed to raise £1,680 to cover her expenses ? in order to reach the target, she held a sponsored 24-hour fast, a day before she was due to start her trip. The city where she will be staying is Santiago de Cuba, in the South East of the island. Louise, who has just left University College Falmouth with a photography degree, signed up for the Christian charity after a university friend made a similar trip. Louise and her fellow volunteers are staying in basic conditions at a Bible school within the city. Louise is asking for people to continue to support her fundraising while she is out there.
