A WEST Devon primary school is one of 120 community groups, voluntary and charity organisations across the south west which have been given a helping hand in the latest round of National Lottery funding.
Horrabridge Primary School will use the £3,310 grant to fund sports, arts and play leaders for extra curricular activities.
Tavistock Swimming Club was also a lucky recipient, the group received a £2,577 grant which will buy swimming equipment, provide swimming coaching and taster sessions for potential new members.
Awards for All is a lottery funding programme aimed at local not for profit groups and makes grants of between £500 and £5,000.
Steve Barriball, senior awards officer from the South West Awards for All regional offices in Exeter, said: 'I know how much of an impact even a small grant can make to a local community organisation and I have no doubt that the awards we are announcing today will make a significant difference to local communities and life here in the south west.'
