CHRISTMAS lovers can get into the spirit of the festive season early next weekend at Bridestowe's Christmas Fayre.

One of St Bridget's Church's biggest fundraisers, the Christmas fayre takes place in Bridestowe Village Hall on Saturday, November 17.

The fayre has grown in its five years from a basic local event to a collection of stalls selling a variety of items from across West Devon and Dartmoor.

Among the goods on offer this year will be fleece products from Princetown, woodcrafts, antiques and art.

Local author Frank Smith will also be there in person.

Treetops Pre-school will be selling their own calendars and confectionery, and Guide Dogs for the Blind will also have a stand. There will be games and competitions on the day and a Christmas hamper filled with goodies.

The fayre starts at 11am and runs until 3pm.
