CHILDREN's Hospice South West's Tavistock Friends Group are starting this year of fundraising in a big way with lots up for grabs at their Big Auction for Little Harbour – more than 70 lots in fact!

From piano lessons to gliding experiences, dinner parties to canoe trips, beauty treatments to Plymouth Gin there is an amazing array of goodies on offer at the 'Big Auction' at Lamerton Village Hall on Friday, February 15.  The Friends hope this collection will help raise hundreds of pounds for their local children's hospice.

Judy Pride, West Devon community fundraiser for Children's Hospice South West's Little Harbour, said: 'The Friends Group have done really well to get together such a huge selection of fantastic lots — they are bound to get people bidding frantically! 

'Our thanks to them for all their hard work in putting this event on, and everyone who has supported it by donating such wonderful items.

'You can also show your support for our wonderful cause, and hopefully bag yourself a great prize, by joining in the Big Auction fun.

'All the money raised will go towards providing vital care and support for families with life-limited children, and helping them to make the most of every precious moment they have together.'

The Big Auction takes place at Lamerton Village Hall from 6.30pm on Friday, February 15.  Tickets cost £5, including a cheese buffet (bring your own bottle), and are available in advance by phoning 01566 783181 or 01822 860144.
