RHS ROSEMOOR is embracing the Christmas spirit with a packed diary of events for December.

The garden's decorated Christmas tree competition began last week, open to anyone who wants to show off their creative flair using natural materials only to decorate a tree. Trees will be provided, though space is limited so contact the garden to register. The competition runs until January 5.

Santa's favourite elf and the Christmas tree fairy will visit the garden on December 14 and 15 to share spellbinding stories and sing songs, and send letters to Santa himself. Two course Christmas lunches will also be available on these four dates.

December 17 also sees the garden hold a Christmas shopping event at the garden shop, with live music, food tastings and demonstrations. The shop will also host a sale on Boxing Day.
