THE South West Mule Group has donated £400 to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, following a comedy night of fundraising.

The group held the event on August 2 at Jethro's in Lewdown, with Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling providing the laughs.

Representatives from the group presented Maralynn Butterworth from the Devon Air Ambulance Trust with a cheque for £400 at Tavistock Livestock Centre, which is where the group holds its annual sales of mule ewe lambs.

The group has already held its first autumn sale of the year, with the final sale on September 25.
