STAFF at a Tavistock jewellery shop are keen to trace a customer who left her diamond ring on the counter.
The mystery woman went into Scruples, on Brook Street, on November 3 to try on a ring she had spotted in the window.
When she left, stunned sales assistant Jill Howe realised she had left her own diamond ring behind.
?We?ve informed the police but they haven?t been contacted yet either,? said Jill.
?It?s awful to think she doesn?t know where it is and is wandering about it. We would like to reunite her with the ring because of the sentimental value.?
Jill described the ring as a dress ring with cross design, set with diamonds.
