ON Thursday July 19 my four-year-old cat was killed opposite Freedom Villas, Launceston Road, at approximately 6.30 in the morning and thus broad daylight.
From her dreadful injuries we can only hope that she died instantly.
She was wearing a disc clearly stating her name, Poppy, and our telephone number and yet the person, who must have been well aware that they had hit a cat, did not have the decency or courage to tell us. Poppy was just left by the roadside.
She may well have run out so suddenly that the driver could not stop but if only he or she could have had the common courtesy to inform us it would have helped in the loss of a very dear pet.
