Lodestone Border Morris will be holding a series of open evenings for budding dancers at the Tavy Club, Tavistock starting Thursday, October 2nd from 8pm. 'We're a friendly team' said Squire Mike Pike 'and look forward to welcoming new or experienced male and female members who might know their left from their right foot'. 'This will be a chance to look from the side and see the costumes and have a chat.' 'By the end of the night you may even have picked up a dance or two. 'The team dance in the border morris style using sticks and generally no hankies,' emphasised Mike. 'The open evenings will run for four weeks with no obligation to stay. By then, we hope you might be hooked,' said Mike. Lodestone also welcome musicians. So if you can play a fiddle or squeeze out a folk tune on a melodeon come along and have a peek.
