SOUTH Zeal scouts are launching an appeal to find a new scout leader for the start of next year. Michael and Caroline Boother are a husband and wife team who have been involved with the scouts and cubs for 14 years. But due to family and work commitments, they are no longer going to be able to run the scout group and the group needs a new leader. Experience of working with or being in the scouts is not necessary as training is given. The scouts currently meet at the scout hut in South Tawton on Monday night from 7pm until 8.30pm although there is a degree of flexibility in this should it not suit a prospective new leader.
