BOTH Callington Town Council and Calstock Parish Council have agreed to support the growing campaign against the proposed One Cornwall logo.
At recent meetings, members of both authorities unanimously agreed for the retention of the existing shield with the fisherman and miner for use on all official documents.
Cllr Andrew Long slated the proposed logo, which he said looked like 'a duck's bottom' and added that the money spent on the redesign could have been used for better things.
Cllr Jeremy Gist said: 'It is unbelievable that this organisation wants to tinker and change what is working well, and leave alone all that is failing.'
The councils are writing to One Cornwall and Cornwall County Council to register their opposition, and also to sign up to the petition currently circulating the county.
