RESIDENTS at Castle Ham Lodge were sad to see the departure of manager Debbie Mulcahy last week, who left the post to move to America.

Debbie has been manager since last summer, helping guide the completion of the build of Castle Ham, and has since steered the home through its first few months following the moving in of the first residents.

Lucy China, administrator, said: 'Debbie has been absolutely pivotal in getting the building finished and moving people in to Castle Ham Lodge.

'She has played a massive part in the lives of the residents and staff, and I am sure everyone here will miss her terribly.'

Residents organised a leaving party for Debbie, and also gave her flowers and a gift as a thankyou.

Castle Ham Lodge is a major redevelopment of the former Castle Hospital site, providing an extra care housing scheme of 50 purpose built flats and additional facilities for the community.

Two of the flats are currently empty, looking to be filled. Call Castle Ham Lodge on 01837 659900.
