DO people realise that the dairy farmer gets an average of 10.5p per pint of milk even though it costs 11p to produce?
The Government has rejected the idea of returning to a controlled system as not being in accordance with Government policy.
A certain dairy company made over £3-million profit last year, but did not reply to an invitation to speak on the subject to interested parties. What will become of beautiful rural England if we lose our dairy farmers?
We would ask that everyone should lobby his/her MP and Lord Whitty (junior agricultural minister). We can make a difference!
