TAVISTOCK met with Plymouth Marjons B on Saturday, comfortable at home and hungry for points after a well deserved win the preceding week.

The game started briskly enough with both sides trying to gain advantage, the steely defence of Tavistock's Lethbridge, Lovett and Edwards protecting keeper Bradley from Marjon's threat.

With Wood pushing up through the middle, linking with Barratt and Cowen, and much use of the offensive halves of Richards and captain Jeffery, the forwards were to enjoy some great possession. Vinson and Lloyd were a constant danger to Marjon's and soon Lloyd's account was opened with some fine finishing with the cold rain dampening Marjon's spirits. McDougal was to gives Lloyd's legs a break with typical commitment and more goals were always on the cards as Marjons failed to capitalise on any chance given. Jeffery was to add to his seasons tally and the returning Lloyd was to finish with four in his bag.

This was a well controlled and comfortable win for the home team and gave much succour as Tavistock players headed out for their Christmas celebrations.
