A TEAM of 20 people completed a two-day coastal path walk around The Lizard to raise vital funds for Brentor-based children's charity CHICKS over a recent weekend.
The team started from Porthoustock and walked to Porthleven via Lizard Point, covering 28 miles to raise much needed money to fund free respite breaks for disadvantaged children.
CHICKS community fundraiser Mick Ryan said: 'The entire team did extremely well battling strong winds, rain and heavy mist.
'The walk was very challenging but extremely enjoyable with the most stunning views along the entire coastline.
'We hope to raise £3,000 which will enable many more disadvantaged children to have a free break at one of our retreats in Devon and Cornwall this year.
'We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored the walk and also the many local stores who donated items of food to the team.'
