A HOST of writers and speakers will take part in this weekend's first ever Festival of Dartmoor Literature, marking ten years of the Dartmoor Society, in Tavistock Town Hall. The event, which aims to be an inspiration to readers, writers and all Dartmoor enthusiasts, begins tomorrow (Friday) with a reception and the Queen's Players and Tavonians presenting 'Fairs and Mines: Celebrating 400 years of Tavistock Literature in Poetry, Novels and Song.' Among the local writers attending the festival will be Michael Jecks, Tania Crosse and Lillian Harry. Tickets can be bought on the door, programmes are available from Bookstop or the town hall.
