Liskeard Athletic 0
Tavistock AFC 4
THE Lambs elected to play up the slope in the first half and as early as the third minute they thought they had a penalty when Mark Conday went down in the home side's area but the referee waved play on. Liskeard then broke and had the ball in the Lamb's net but Kinsman's effort was ruled out for offside.
The Lambs then began to take control of the game. In the 24th minute Tavistock took a deserved lead when Chris Menhenick rose to glance a delightful header past Ian Baker from 10 yards.
Liskeard keeper Baker then made two fines saves to deny Glyn Hobbs and Will Stringer from adding to the visitors advantage.
The Lambs played down the slope in the second period and put the home side under tremendous pressure.
Liskeard held firm until the 62nd minute when a Simon Skews effort from a tight angle in the area, flew across Baker and inside the far post to increase the visitors lead.
The game was over as a contest five minutes later as substitute Lee Coxon cut into the penalty area from the left and let fly with a powerful shot that Baker could only deflect into the far top corner of the net.
Mark Conday for Tavistock was then pulled down in the penalty area, but Baker saved the resultant penalty kick from Ryan Honey.
The Lambs continued to create numerous chances but poor finishing and sound goal keeping prevented the visitors from adding to their goal tally, until a Lee Coxon cross was converted by Will Stringer to give Tavistock a resounding victory.
This result keep the momentum of the Lambs' challenge for honours and provided they can maintain this standard of performance they will certainly be in contention at the end of the season.
