STUDENTS of Tavistock College competed to design and make a prototype of a seating arrangement. The competitive project across Year 9 was run by the design technology, resistant materials department. The students worked in teams with a limited set of materials and time. They were judged on originality, creativity and craftsmanship. The winning team — The Lippy Lip Gloss Ladies — consisted of Rose Packer, Ruby Luxton, Nicole Murray, Amy-Louise Stephens and Jade Willmott. Second prize went to the Your Mum team, with John Tailyour, Mark Henderson, Joel Blatchford, Josh Bullock and Ryan Brett. In third place were the Hi Mom team of P J Bennett, Sam Shelvey, Tom Moore, Kyle Blake, Dan Phelan and Rob McCleland. Pictured are members of the top three teams with their designs.
