TAVISTOCK Lions have presented a cheque for £1,000 to the Mary Budding Trust. The money came from the proceeds of their Christmas draw. The cheque was presented to Ann McDonald and Tony Wates from the trust. The presentation was also attended by Sheila Fenner, whose late husband, Robin, was chairman of the trust, which was established to assist local young children with severe learning difficulties by the provision of grants and equipment. The main prize for the draw was a framed limited edition print of Brentor Church, painted by Gillian McDonald, a well-known British artist. The picture was donated by Martin and Nina Hawkins of Tavistock Picture Framing Company and was won by Dawn Padley of Tavistock.
