TAVISTOCK Lions Club last week presented cheques totalling more than £1,300 to two local charities.

Tavistock Youth Café, which is currently fundraising for new premises, was presented with £670, which the Lions raised during a murder mystery evening held at The Terrace restaurant in Tavistock recently.

And £660.02 was presented to Marie Curie Cancer Care, which was collected at Morrisons in Tavistock during two days in March.
