THE Christmas lights prize draw held by Tavistock Chamber of Commerce raised a total of £1,800. The chamber expressed thanks to everyone who took part in the prize draw, the contributors of prizes, collectors and especially all those who bought tickets. The draw took place at the Bedford Hotel on Monday, December 5 at 7.30pm by the then Vicar of Tavistock, Preb John Rawlings. The chamber is hopeful it raised enough money to cover the costs of the Christmas lights, estimated at £8,000 ? but if any business wishes to contribute it can send cheques payable to Tavistock Chamber of Commerce, to PO Box 130, Tavistock, PL19 8FA.
