MORE than 1,200 people came out to see the hot air balloon glow at Tavistock College last Saturday evening.

Tavistock Lions Club press officer, Steve Grummitt said: ‘It was a fantastic night. We were very lucky with the weather, it couldn’t have been more perfect!

‘We had six balloons including two special shapes, including a gnome and a Ricoh cube.

‘We want to say a big thank you to Andrew and everyone from Exclusive Ballooning for making the trip down.

‘More than 1200 people attended and we want to make a small apology to them as we started a little later than planned as it was such nice weather it got darker later.

‘Altogether it was a great night. Thanks to the college and everyone for coming. It was all to make money for local charities and good causes.’
