THREE goals either side of half-time saw Lifton start the new year in style.
Lifton started the scoring spree after 15 minutes when a Steve Wall cross was perfectly met by Martin Credicott to head home.
The goal of the game came after several chances had been missed. A Credicott cross was met on the volley by Andy Heard who smashed the ball past the Crediton keeper.
Heard repaid the compliment a few minutes later when Credicott scored his second and Lifton's third.
A quiet first 20 minutes in the second half saw lots of possession for Lifton but no goals, until Andrew Terry netted following a Credicott miss kick.
Credicott redeemed himself just three minutes later when a superb through ball gave him the chance to score his hat-trick. The scoring was completed when a soft shot by Steve Greenaway was missed by the Crediton keeper.
Crediton worked hard as a team but Lifton's movement off the ball and chances created were far superior and the 6-0 scoreline in no way flattered the home side.
There were solid games from keeper Vernon and the back four Ewence, Vanstone, Phil Credicott and Hooper.
