A TAVISTOCK singer, keyboard player and composer will be entertaining women at the Christmas Taste and See dinner next month at the Ordulph Arms. Jo Wright will be talking on Tuesday, December 4 at 7pm about how she was inspired by her life events to write compositions. Jo was brought up in Cheshire and trained as a teacher before considering music as a career. She then married Phil, also a teacher, and they moved to Tavistock before they gave up their jobs, sold their house and moved to Africa. But events unravelled for the couple which were not planned, including a serious illness which severely affected Jo?s health. So after two years Jo and Phil returned to Tavistock. Taste and See, open to all women of any age, is organised by a committee representing the churches of the Tavistock area. For more information contact Ruth Newman on 01822 616859. Tickets for this event will be sold on a first come first served basis. They can be ordered from Linda Medland on 01822 615940 for £8 which includes a two-course dinner.
