A CREW of seven individuals and two staff (Rachel Dodd and Helen McFarlane) from the Molly Owen Centre sailed the high seas on a magnificent 84 foot yacht ? Integer 1. The sailing course included setting and trimming the sails, helming, scrubbing the decks, washing up and cooking duties. The candidates also completed a portfolio on working as a team, developing new skills, keeping safe, looking after themselves and others. The skipper Tom Walker, skipper?s mate Josh Walker and tutor, Amy Ferguson, aboard Integer 1 gave the crew an experience of a lifetime. The first night was spent anchored at Cawsand, then they sailed in perfect sunshine, with all four sails up, to Fowey, Falmouth and back to Plymouth marina. The crew also learned how to fish and enjoyed the taste of freshly cooked mackerel. A wonderful week was had by all, thanks to the dedication of the skipper and Integer staff.
