A GROUP formed earlier this year to promote and support their local library has organised Christmas events for the public.
The Friends of Okehampton Library will be holding a wine and cheese party on Wednesday, December 3 at the library from 7pm.
Tickets, available in advance from the library, are £4 to include refreshments, entertainment by the Ockment Singers, and Christmas readings.
Then on December 12 at the library there will be a Christmas coffee morning. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a coffee and mince-pie for 50p.
Also available at the library from Monday, December 1 is a Christmas quiz. It costs £1 to enter and the winner will receive a Waitrose shopping voucher. Entries to be returned to the library by January 2, 2009.
