CALLINGTON is inviting residents to join in and make the town bloom again this year.

Last year the Town Forum undertook a pilot project to bring colour to the town centre. Making Callington Bloom was successful partly because of the donations received to purchase plants but mainly due to the volunteers who came along to fill the planters.

This year the forum hopes to make a bigger and better contribution to Callington. Once again, it is inviting anyone who takes an interest in the town and wishes to help make a difference, to come forward and be part of the project.

The plan is to buy perennial plants which will establish themselves in the planters and beds to ensure they have greenery and colour throughout the year.

It does not mean making a big commitment — just a couple of hours of planting time would be appreciated by the forum members.
