APPETISING lunches were served weekly during Lent in Bere Ferrers.

Everyone enjoyed socialising and the delicious food, especially as it was in aid of charity. A total of £349.80 was raised and the charities benefitting were the Shekinah Mission in Plymouth and Christian Aid.

Thanks were expressed to all who supported the event, especially the cooks, back-room staff and parishioners.
