THERE are musical opportunities to learn in the Tavistock area this autumn.

Stannary Brass Band is able to offer, free of charge, a brass instrument and group tuition with the chance to progress to an acceptable standard to join the main band.

A spokesperson for the band said: 'Apart from learning a new skill, you will make new friends and be able to support the band at concerts and be involved in entertainment at local events.'

Stannary Brass Band welcomes new members of any age or ability and can also find a role for non-playing members. For more information call 01822 854888.
