SINCE the beginning of the summer term I have been walking my children to school in Buckland Monachorum. Unfortunately, this entails walking along a twisty road with no pavement and consequently meeting lots of cars on the way. I can?t use the Garden House footpath as I have a pushchair. The vast majority of drivers we meet are friendly, slow down and give us a wide berth. There are, however, an intolerant few who drive too quickly and make rude comments. To these sad people I would just like to say, slow down, learn a little patience, leave your cars at home once in a while and walk!
