SPRING has arrived in West Devon with the first leaping lambs being born, and a farm in Lifton has welcomed a set of quadruplets to its flock.

Lambing season is now in full swing at Lifton Farm Shop and one Texel ewe gave birth to a rare four lambs, which farm owner Jo Mounce said was a first for them.

Jo said: 'We're lambing about 50 ewes at the moment and we've got about 10 left to go. We've done really well this year and have had lots of doubles and triples and they've all survived — and this quad which is amazing and a first for the shop.'
