TAVISTOCK'S?St Eustachius Parish Church is set to be filled with the sound of more than 100 male choral voices as the Tamar Valley Men's Choir welcomes the Côr Meibion Dowlais Male Choir for a joint performance.

The concert will be held at St Eustachius on September 1 at 7pm, with all proceeds going to the Children's Hospice South West.

The Côr Meibion Dowlais Male Choir are one of Wales' best known male choirs and have performed with the likes of Katherine Jenkins, Rolf Harris and Haley Westenra among others.

The choir also performed for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2010.

Russell Northam-Palmer of the Tamar Valley Men's Choir said: 'This is the first time that we have sung with the Côr Meibion Dowlais Male Choir, and we are all looking forward to the evening.

'I would encourage people to get their tickets early, as the last time we did a joint concert with a visiting choir, the queue was right out the door!'
