YELVERTON Golf Club ladies' section club championship was played over 36 holes on September 11.

The scratch winner and this year's club champion was Laura Eastwood with a gross 146 - that is playing to par over the two rounds.

Runner-up was Gilly Jarvis with a gross 160 and third was Belinda McSherry with a gross 166.

Winner of the handicap trophy was Aine Binchy with a net 146, runner-up was Marie Watson with a net 150 and third was Di Friend with a net 160.

On September 25 the ladies played their monthly stableford competition. Laura Eastwood won the silver division with 38 points — playing two shots below par. Runner-up was Di Friend with 35 points and third was Bunty Salz with 34 points.

Aine Binchy won the bronze division with 33 points, runner-up was Georgie Evans with 32 points and third was Di Reardon also with 32 points.
