The Lambs came within ten minutes of taking a point against the league leaders before going down to two late goals.
They looked comfortable in the first half coping with everything the Saints threw at them although Chris Hawke did hit Andy Meeds' post in the 12th minute.
St Blazey looked to have taken the lead just prior to the break when Glyn Hooper's glancing header seemed to have crossed the goal-line before Meeds grabbed the ball, but the referee waved on play.
The Lambs were on the back foot in the second half but again looked to be comfortable with sweeper Lee Beer in fine form.
The turning point came when defender Darren Babb had to go off with an injury and almost immediately the Lambs went behind. Meeds kept the score blank on 78 minutes with a great reflex save to deflect Ian Gosling's header around a post. But he was helpless two minutes later when Gosling laid off Sam Mckune's cross into the path of Andy Morris to slot home from 12 yards.
Three minutes later the Saints made sure of the points when Hooper crossed for Matt Parsons to score with a volley from an acute angle.

THE Lambs reached their second cup quarter-final of the season but made it hard work for themselves with this narrow victory over their Devon League opponents.
Steve Hart brought in Steve Shaw for the injured Darren Babb and newly appointed assistant manager Dave Symons was included in the substitutes.
The Lambs outplayed Stoke for the first half and had chances to go in at the interval with a comfortable lead. Stoke's keeper Stuart Furay came to his side's rescue after 15 minutes to deny Lee Cansfield when Tony Cusack helped on a Chris Gott cross. John Gosling saw his shot go wide five minutes later then headed over from an Andy Wright corner.
Stoke had their best period of play after the break but it was the home side who almost snatched the lead just after the hour. Dean Tongue's cross went over the 6ft 3in keeper and the ball was half-cleared for Mark Wall to fire through a crowd of players only to see his shot cannon back off the bottom of an upright and cleared to safety.
What turned out to be the all important goal came after 74 minutes when play was brought back into the Stoke half for a free kick for the Lambs. Tongue's ball to the far post was met by Cansfield to head over Furay from close range.
Stoke's Adam Drake had Lambs keeper Andy Meeds scrambling back towards his goal but his long range effort went harmlessly way over the bar before Cansfield saw another effort cleared off the line on the stroke of full-time.
In the last eight, the Lambs meet the winners of Ottery/Holsworthy at Langsford Park sometime in the New Year.
l There is no Jewson fixture this weekend. But the P & D side finally get back in action after a long period of inactivity due to the weather when they take on Plymouth Civil Service Sports & Leisure in a league game at Langsford Park with a 2pm kick-off.
Langsford Park hosts the Devon County Squad on December 12 when they play the Royal Navy in the South West Counties Championship with a 7.30pm kick-off.
The Devon side are at home on only two occasions in the group stages so this will be a rare chance and the only one to see them play in midweek. Manager Hedley Steele's squad consists of players from the Western and Devon Leagues with only Ian Symons from Saltash representing the Jewson League.
