Devon and Exeter Senior three South Zeal Utd 2 Tipton St John 2 HAVING had two weeks without a game and several players missing this was always going to be a difficult game for Zeal; however they started well and created several good chances before Tipton started to get into the game. Although Zeal dominated for the first 20 minutes of the first half Tipton were the better side for the remainder of the half. It was slightly against the run of play when Zeal's Scott Hooper received a good pass from Lee Gilbert and after tricking a Tipton defender was tripped in the area. Tom Reilly stepped up and dispatched the penalty to put the home side 1-0 up at half time. The second half was always going to be difficult for Zeal as they were defending against a stiff breeze and the slope of the pitch. With Adam Cann in great form in the Zeal goal and Tom Reilly marshalling the defence and leading by example Zeal managed to hold out for the first 30 minutes but within the space of 10 minutes Tipton took the lead with two scrambled efforts from inside the six yard box. However, just as it looked all over for Zeal their fighting spirit prevailed and Redd Cann with a great strike from 18 yards secured a deserved draw. l This week Tipton St John away leaving Okehampton at 12-15 pm.
