THE Lambs got off to a good start when James Cole floated in a free kick for Darren Babb to cut back from the far post — there was Steve Daymond to turn it past Ian Baker from close range.

Andy Meeds brought off the save of the game eight minutes later when he tipped a Jeff Babb shot onto the bar before the Blues drew level on 26 minutes. Lee Doncaster skipped over challenges from Darren Babb and Andy Parnowski to score from a tight angle.

The home side had a corner cleared off the line just before the interval but went ahead within two minutes of the restart.

From another corner Jason Carwardine took the ball into the area only to be brought down by Graeme McMillan. From the penalty, Parnowski sent Baker the wrong way.

The Lambs looked in control for the next 20 minutes but sustained pressure from the visitors finally told after 75 minutes with Jeff Babb getting to a cross to steer it past Meeds from close range.

The Lambs had a great chance to go into the lead for the third time when Craig Hodge beat a defender and laid a great ball into the path of Lee Beer. But the young wing back took a touch too many and Baker was off his line in a flash to block his shot.

The winning goal came five minutes from the end. Beer looked to have been fouled on the halfway line but play continued with Liskeard being awarded a free kick. From it Doncaster got behind his marker to send a close range shot high into the net for a dramatic winner.
