CENTRAL Park swimming pool was the venue for members of Tavistock Swimming Club competing in Plymouth Leander's Late Easter Last Chance Open Meet last weekend.
It was an enjoyable meet with some impressive swimming and stiff competition with strong squads from as far afield as Jersey.
Peter Freedman took 6th place in the men's 100m back, 4th 200m back and 6th 50m back - all in national qualifying times and club record times.
Rebecca Mills swam with great determination to take 2nd place in the girls' 11yrs 50m fly in a club record time. Rebecca followed this with another 2nd place in the 50m freestyle and 4th in the 50m breast, both in personal best times.
Will Feather had a tremendous swim in the boys' 12 yrs 200m fly to touch in second place in a personal best time; 7th 200m breast, 6th 50m breast pb, 5th 200m IM, 11th 200m back pb, 14th 50m back.
Christopher Ralph took seven seconds off his personal best time to take 5th place in the boys' 13yrs 200m breast in a club record time and 9th in the 50m breast in a personal best time.
Caroline Ball swam the girls' 12yrs 200m fly in a personal best and club record time to take 5th place; 11th 50m back, 8th 200m back, 10th 200m IM, 9th 100m back.
