Carlsberg South Western League Tavistock 3 St Austell 0 THIS was the Lambs first home appearance for ten weeks due to league fixtures and three away games in various cup competitions. The visitors contained several new players as they tried to turn their season around after humiliating defeats in recent league and cup games. It was an even first period but the Lambs should have built a healthy lead early on with Ryan Honey and Glynn Hobbs failing to convert very good chances. It was Honey who made amends with two minutes of the half remaining as he gathered the ball on the edge of the area to weave inside and send in a shot that took a deflection to deceive keeper Quantick and roll agonisingly inside the bottom of the post. The Lilywhites, at times, played some attractive football by out passing the home side with Neil Kinsman seeing his low shot turned around a post by Andy Meeds. Despite the Lambs domination of most of the game it was not until the final minutes of the game that they gained the upper hand with two late goals. Honey looped his header from a Shane Krac corner onto the St Austell crossbar and as it fell Will Stringer turned it back across goal for Sean Cann to blast home from close range. It was Honey's run into the area that saw him fouled to get up and slot home his second and the Lambs' third to record a good victory.
