THE Lambs came away from Mount Wise with all three points after this entertaining game.
Mark Wall had an early chance but the Lambs were behind after just 10 minutes.
Slack marking at a free kick allowed Mark Atkinson to receive the ball and send in a cross behind the Lambs' defence for James Holsen to ghost in and side foot a volley past Andy Meeds.
The Lambs had a great chance to level a minute later when Nathan Blamey let in Simon Parnell but his lob cleared both keeper and crossbar.
The Peppermints looked the more likely to add to their score breaking out of defence quickly but were guilty of being caught offside on several occasions.
Darren Babb then saw his header tipped over the bar from a Blamey free kick.
Meeds did well to save from Jake Hartington and flashed another effort across goal as the interval approached before Parnell and Sean Cann went close.
Meeds was on top form and kept the Lambs in the game at the start of the second half —twice denying Hartington as the home side broke quickly out of defence.
The turnaround for the Lambs came on the hour as Paul Adcock turned in the area to be fouled by Nick Mayor.
Up stepped Blamey to send keeper Dave Wilton the wrong way from the spot.
Tavistock then rocked the home side and went into the lead 3 minutes later.
Sean Cann came from defence to go past a couple of tackles to lay the ball off for Adcock to send it back into the area for Cann to slide home.
It got even better with 15 minutes remaining as the Lambs gave themselves a two goal cushion.
James Cole's corner was flicked on by Adcock for Cann to head over Wilton.
Meeds came to the Lambs' rescue yet again as he saved from Hartington but the home side got themselves back into it with 5 minutes left.
A long cross field pass split the Lambs' defence for Damien Dyer to latch onto it and send in a low drive pass Meeds.
But the Lambs held out for a fine away victory that sends them up to joint 5th.
