THE Lambs move into third place in the league with this victory at Lux Park and with the same number of points as Bodmin who are in second spot.
The first half was even with both sides creating scoring opportunities.
The Lambs were always dangerous from set pieces and early on both Will Stringer and Robbie Pethick went close with headers from Krac corner kicks. Hobbs and Carter both had attempts well saved by Pen-Collins in the Liskeard goalkeeper.
The home side were unlucky when a 30 yard screamer from Joe Carey's hit the angle of post and cross bar, with AnDy Meeds rooted to the spot. Then Andy Meeds made a brave save at the feet Easton, to keep the visitors on level terms.
Five minutes before the interval, Easton, who was a constant threat to the visitors defence, should have open the scoring when he was unmarked in the six yard box, but his header went agonisingly wide of the goal, with only Meeds to beat.
Once again the Lambs were struggling to find their usual quick passing game, and pressure on the man in possession by the hosts, made it difficult.
The half time team talk definitely had the desired effect as after the interval the Lambs took control and got their free flowing football going. Their passing was much more incisive and creative. They retained possession of the ball, and put the home defence under considerable pressure.
It was no surprise when the break through came on the hour, when the impressive Glyn Hobbs opened the scoring, when he was put through by Adam Carter, racing to the right of Liskeard keeper Dan Pen-Collins before drilling the ball inside the far post. Two minutes later it was Hobbs who put Carter in, who smashed the ball home from 12 yards, to increase the visitors lead.
The Lambs then missed several chances to put the game to bed, with both strikers having opportunities to increase the lead.
It was not until the 82nd minute that the game was made safe when Hobbs made a fine run down the left flank, before squaring the ball to Carter, who had the easy task of firing home from close range, to give the Lambs their third successive away win to keep pressure on the teams at the top of the table.
